According to a report by The Daily Telegraph, harrowing footage has emerged from recent deadly floods in Nepal showing a house surrounded by raging torrents as nearby structures were swept away one by one. The family inside fled to higher levels, eventually becoming trapped on the fourth floor; miraculously, all six individuals were rescued. Laxmi Pandey Pyakurel, the 42-year-old woman of the house, later recalled that the family believed their home could be swept away at any moment and had even prepared themselves to die together: “We saw death up close; death was staring right at each of us.”
